The Spot

Kindergarten through 4th grade gather in The Spot located on the 2nd floor.  Check-In is in Room 205.  Parents are invited and welcome to stay with their children for any event that happens in The Spot.

Weekly Events Happening in The Spot

SUNDAY MORNINGS . . . K-4th will gather in  age graded Discipleship Groups from 11:15- 12 pm.
(On occasion there will be a children's gathering during the sermon.  There will be a dismissal slide during worship to indicate if this is happening.  Simply follow instructions on slide.  Children will then remain in The Spot until noon.)

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS . . .(during School year)

K-4th KIDS meet in The Spot (or around the dinner tables) at 6:30 PM, after Friends & Family Dinner which begins at 6:00 PM. 

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS....(summer)
K-4th KIDS meet at 5:30 at Cornerstone Church (501 NE Missouri Rd., LSMO 64086) to load up and head out to Coldwater Summer BBQs.  The BBQs last until approximately 7:30. Upon arriving games begin and so does the grilling.  After a feast of hamburgers and hot dogs shared with friends, we load up and head back to Cornerstone to uppack and look forward to next week.

 

Exploring the Attributes of Jesus in "The Spot"

It is a fact that parents will spend considerably more time with their children than any Sunday School teacher or helper will.  If a child attends church for 3 hours a week the total for the year is around 156 hours.  On the other hand if a parent spends even just one hour a day with their child they will spend 365 hours with them in a year.  We all know, as parents, we spend more than just 1 hour with our children in a day.  The point of all of this is to say, at Cornerstone we consider what we do with kids to be a supplement, an affirmation of what the child experiences daily with their family.

Ms. Vicki

When you meet Ms. Vicki, you will immediately see that she has a warm and generous spirit about her.  Ms. Vicki and her family have been a part of the Cornerstone family for many years.  Her husband is Dennis, and they have three grown children--Bobby, Becky, and Bethany.  Ms. Vicki loves to give of her time teaching Cornerstone KIDS about God's love and truth.  You can find her in The Spot and once-a-month in KIDS Church.
